About Dr. Scott Rennie, DO

Dr. Scott Rennie is a dual board-certified physician, holding certification in Family Medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine and in Obesity Medicine from the American Board of Obesity Medicine. His menopause training is through The Menopause Society, where he is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) exam candidate. He also maintains ATLS, AWLS, and ACLS certifications, and is currently pursuing additional certification in AI in Medicine.

Dr. Rennie practices with Teladoc Health and is licensed in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam. Over seven years of virtual practice he has completed more than 98,000 virtual consultations while maintaining a 4.9 out of 5 patient satisfaction rating. He has developed clinical workflows for GLP-1 and anti-obesity medication therapy, and his practice centers on evidence-based metabolic health, GLP-1 therapy, diabetes management, menopause care, and high-efficiency telemedicine.

Dr. Rennie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western Washington University and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in the top 6 percent of his class. He completed residency training at Tacoma Family Medicine Residency Program in 2006. Before moving into full-time virtual care, he practiced in community health centers in northern California and central Washington and in hospital-affiliated urgent care, work that included a longstanding focus on care for Hispanic and migrant patient populations.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Rennie has a background in travel and wilderness medicine and is a member of the Wilderness Medical Society. He is also a licensed amateur radio operator active in emergency communications. He lives with his wife and family and three Labrador retrievers.
